This mixed media work is from a series completed by the artist about a violent neighborhood tragedy. The panels are gilded, and the decorative elements are festive, but the message suggests otherwise. Next to the face of a young person are the words: "Ambush 5 shot." In and among the decorative elements is more text, that read: "THINGS JUST DON'T HAPPEN IN A PLACE LIKE THIS." Unsigned.
