The bird is central to the work and the numerical sequence "659-0338" surrounds it, either written in pencil or carved into the glaze. On the lower half of the work, beneath the bird, the words "six five nine oh three three eight" are visible. On the reverse, in lieu of a signature, is a tag indicating the work was created by Susan Jorgensen.
