Two Women and baby

This tintype, which dates to the late 1800’s, depicts two women seated on the grass, a baby in the lap of the woman at left. The photograph is encased in an ornate protective frame typical for early photography. Plate sizes are based upon the original 6 1/2 x 8 1/2” inch daguerreotype plate size; a quarter plate would be a fourth of the size of this original plate.
