Jud Fine is an American contemporary artist born in 1944. He received his BA in History from UC Santa Barbara in 1966 and subsequently earned an MFA from Cornell University in New York. He is a sculptor and former Director of the Master of Fine Arts Program in the Roski School of Fine Art at the University of Southern California, where he currently teaches. Fine has received numerous awards, grants, and fellowships and his work is exhibited and collected in museums and galleries around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Guggenheim Museum, New York, Australia and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Art, Moscow. He has also completed multiple large scale public projects, both individually and in collaboration with artist Barbara McCarren.
