In May of 2007, day workers standing on Santa Barbara's Yanonoli Street against "The Wall" were approached and asked to pose for a portrait. This resulted in the Santa Barbara Project, an Artist -in-Residence at the Atkinson Gallery, Santa Barbara City College. This images includes a full-length portrait of a construction worker, Miguel, wearing a blue collared shirt and jeans; he is positioned against a neutral background with a purple-gray shadow extending to the right. On reverse, signature of the portrait's subject and that of the artist as well as the date.
