In May of 2007, day workers standing on Santa Barbara's Yanonoli Street against "The Wall" were approached and asked to pose for a portrait. This resulted in the Santa Barbara Project, an Artist-in-Residence at the Atkinson Gallery. This unframed portrait of a construction worker, Pedro, wearing a light gray collared jacket over a brown shirt. On reverse, signature of the portrait's subject and that of the artist as well as the date.
