Image was initially illustrated in the photographer's Platteland, 1994, which detailed the irony that despite political privilege apartheid had bestowed on whites, there is failure of the regime even to secure the well-being of the privileged minority. This includes a black and white photo of a young boy standing on top of a table holding two guns with two landscape paintings hanging on the wall behind him; on reverse signed and dated with edition 2/4.
