Image was initially illustrated in the photographer's Platteland, 1994, which detailed the irony that despite political privilege apartheid had bestowed on whites, there is failure of the regime even to secure the well-being of the privileged minority. This black and white photo includes a young boy positioned on the left standing between a hanging robe and gun. On the right sits an older man between empty card board boxes and brooms. On reverse signed and dated with edition 3/5.
